CareerToolbox (careertoolbox.org) is operated by The JobKnob LLC ("we", "us"). By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What CareerToolbox is

CareerToolbox is an editorial directory of career tools and services. We research, curate, rate, and rank third-party products. We are not affiliated with the tools we list unless explicitly stated, and we do not provide career, financial, or legal advice.

Editorial independence

Our ratings, rankings, and "Best Of" lists are editorial opinions based on our own research and criteria. Paid placements are labeled as "Featured". Affiliate relationships (see below) never influence how we rank or review a tool.

Accuracy of information

Pricing, features, and availability of listed tools change frequently and are controlled by their vendors, not by us. While we re-check listings regularly, we make no guarantee that any information on this site is current or error-free. Always verify pricing and terms with the vendor before purchasing.

Affiliate links and commissions

Some links on this site may be affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Pages containing affiliate links carry a disclosure.

Third-party tools and websites

Tool submissions

By submitting a tool through our Submit a Tool form, you confirm the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You grant us a non-exclusive right to display, edit, and format that information in the directory. We may accept, reject, edit, or remove any submission or listing at our sole discretion.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the site for any unlawful purpose; submit false, misleading, or infringing information; scrape, harvest, or republish our content at scale; or interfere with the operation or security of the site. We may restrict or block access for violations of these terms.

Intellectual property

The content we create — descriptions, reviews, rankings, and site design — belongs to The JobKnob LLC. Third-party names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The JobKnob LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from information you submit to the directory or from your violation of these terms.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright or trademark, email support@careertoolbox.org with the details and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it promptly.

Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The JobKnob LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any third-party tool listed on it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of warranties or damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

General

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a sale or reorganization of our business. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site.
